Job summary

Spark by Hilton in Albuquerque is hiring a Maintenance Person to ensure a clean, safe, and well-functioning hotel environment for guests. The role covers routine maintenance, preventative care, and prompt service responses to keep rooms and public areas in good condition.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, dependable, safety-conscious and able to resolve issues quickly while maintaining professional guest interactions and supporting hotel operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry repairs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must poses a valid unrestricted driver’s license
• Successful completion of criminal background investigation is required

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and work orders for routine and emergency maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance duties including basic painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC care.
• Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas on a scheduled basis.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with furniture, fixtures, TVs, plumbing, remote controls, light switches, etc.
• Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of exterior areas including parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, signage, and pool areas.
• Maintain HVAC systems by cleaning filters and reporting major issues to the General Manager.
