Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI is seeking an Engineer 2 to oversee day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge. You will manage projects, life safety, ordering, and vendor interactions, ensuring preventative maintenance across guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings and grounds.

The role requires technical degree and related certifications, with emphasis on HVAC/electrical trades, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in engineering or maintenance.
• Experience in hospitality or related industry preferred.
• Trade certifications in HVAC or electrical preferred.
• Comfort with safety procedures and OSHA-like standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment (pump/motor), plumbing, electrical items.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved methods.
• Work safely and promptly, following safety standards and effective equipment use.
• Maintain safety procedures knowledge; attend safety trainings and in-service sessions.
• Maintain service records on mechanical and structural systems and ensure SOPs are followed.
