Job summary

AHC Hospitality in Grand Rapids seeks an entry-level hotel technician responsible for routine preventative maintenance of guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas. You will progress toward independent response to service calls across front and back of house, handling tasks such as basic HVAC, toilet, lighting and hardware repairs.

This full-time position requires weekend availability on the 2nd shift and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental & vision, 401K, paid vacation,

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well with all members of the Engineering Department and hotel staff.
• Comfortable using smartphones and computers for work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas.
• Respond to service calls and gain proficiency in front and back of house tasks.
• Carry out basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed.
• Maintain tools, logs, and maintain safety and life-safety procedures.
• Work weekends on the 2nd shift as required by the role.
