Job summary

JW Marriott Grand Rapids is seeking an Engineering Tech I on the 2nd shift. This full-time role supports guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas with routine preventative maintenance and timely service calls.

Responsibilities include basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting repairs, plus maintaining tools and logs. Weekend availability is required, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K, paid vacation, parking discounts, and employee meals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Any technical, mechanical, or basic maintenance history encouraged.
• Prior hotel industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform routine preventative maintenance on guest rooms and spaces.
• Respond to service calls across front and back of house areas.
• Perform basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting repairs.
