Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Grand Rapids is seeking a Facilities Technician for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) to maintain guest rooms, public areas, and property grounds. This full-time role requires weekend availability and offers advancement opportunities and a starting wage of $17 per hour based on experience.

You will use Quore for maintenance logging, manage supply needs within budget, and ensure guest satisfaction while safeguarding property security and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to interpret/extract information and perform basic arithmetic.
• One year of job-related experience required.
• Hazcom Training and Lock-Out/Tag-Out may be completed upon hire; a valid driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Perform routine property walk-arounds and address issues, picking up trash and monitoring safety.
• Manage parts suppliers and approve big-ticket items with GM oversight.
• Use Quore to record maintenance issues and complete work orders.
• Monitor water quality for pool/spa and keep area clean.
• Maintain security of property and equipment; manage keys and locks.
• Keep mandatory records (pool, boiler, certificates, elevator) up to date.
• Assist with fire protection systems and train staff as needed.
• Paint and touch up surfaces; repair drywall as needed; perform minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Assist with lawn maintenance, snow removal, and grounds cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot kitchen, laundry, boiler, and HVAC equipment as experience allows.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and align with brand standards.
