Job summary

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Saraland is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Worker to keep the hotel safe, comfortable, and fully operational for guests and staff. You will support the Engineering team with daily maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks across guest rooms, public areas, and exterior spaces.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work weekends/holidays. Marriott standards and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to own responsibilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
• Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and guest needs promptly and professionally.
• Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Help maintain the hotel grounds and exterior areas as needed.
• Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Communicate maintenance concerns to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, inspections, and renovations.
