Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Supervisor for a premier Marriott property in Huntsville, AL. You will lead the Engineering team to maintain guest rooms and public areas, ensuring safety, reliability, and exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, mentor staff, and partner with the Chief Engineer to manage work orders and safety programs. Marriott experience and strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills are

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or commercial maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and support the daily activities of the Engineering and Maintenance team.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of repairs throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns, and operational needs.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with managing work orders, preventive maintenance programs, and daily departmental priorities.
• Train, coach, and mentor Engineering team members on proper maintenance procedures, safety practices, and hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and applicable local regulations.
• Assist with vendor coordination, contractor access, and maintenance projects as needed.
• Support emergency response procedures and ensure the property remains safe and operational at all times.
• Promote a positive team environment while providing exceptional service to guests and hotel departments.
