Job summary

Hampton Inn South Anderson SC is seeking a Maintenance Chief to oversee preventive maintenance and repairs across guest areas and essential hotel systems. The role includes supervising a small team, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with hotel standards and safety policies.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hotel maintenance experience, strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and a clean safety record, with the ability to manage logs and respond promptly to work orders

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Must have strong safety awareness and be able to supervise a small team.
• Ability to manage logs, checklists, and documentation.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility using consistent preventive maintenance guidelines.
• Perform tasks as assigned: preventive maintenance, repairs, and complete documentation.
• Maintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine checks and repairs.
• Familiar with life safety systems and takes corrective action on issues affecting security or operation.
• Handle master set of keys in accordance with policy for security.
• Report hazards or injuries and take immediate corrective action.
• Maintain and assist in cleanliness of own work area.
• Keep supervisor informed of problems or significant matters.
• All other duties as assigned within physical capabilities.
• Train maintenance staff on responsibilities and safety.
• Ensure maintenance staff have sufficient tools daily.
• Perform property-specific tasks as requested by management.
