Job summary

Ascent Hospitality and Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson are seeking a hands-on Hotel Maintenance Supervisor. You will lead the day-to-day Engineering and Maintenance operations, ensuring guest rooms, equipment, and building systems are well maintained to provide a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Work closely with the Chief Engineer and General Manager to coordinate maintenance activities, preventive maintenance, inspections, and property improvement projects, while mentoring

Qualifications

• Prior hotel maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and use basic technical docs.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the hotel Engineering and Maintenance team.
• Prioritize and assign maintenance work orders and preventive tasks.
• Perform routine HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exteriors.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs.
• Monitor work orders and preventive maintenance schedules for completion.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues and implement solutions.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and responses.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and inspections.
• Manage tools, supplies, and inventory for the department.
• Coordinate with vendors for outside repairs and services.
• Assist with property inspections, renovations, and capital projects.
• Train and coach Maintenance staff on procedures and safety.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe Engineering workplace.
• Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and safety policies.
• Partner with hotel leadership to identify recurring issues and improvements.
• Provide courteous service to guests and team members.
