Job summary

Bardstown Motor Lodge is seeking a part-time Hotel General Maintenance Technician to care for the property’s interior and exterior. Responsibilities include performing work orders, light electrical/plumbing/HVAC tasks, landscaping, pool services, and keeping areas stocked and clean.

Applicants should have basic maintenance knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to follow written or diagrammatic instructions. Weekend availability is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or GED required.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Deadline, detail and customer service-oriented
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches).
• Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Provide preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters and belts).
• Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.).
• Performs manual repairs when necessary.
• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.
• Reports any unsafe conditions to Management.
• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
