Job summary

Bardstown Motor Lodge is seeking a part-time Hotel General Maintenance Technician to service indoor and outdoor areas, handle work orders, landscaping, and pool maintenance. The role requires basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC knowledge and a proactive approach to upkeep across guest areas and facilities.

Weekend availability is required; previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not mandatory. Driver's license is a must to manage property tasks and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Weekend availability.

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches).
• Maintains heating and plumbing systems; perform preventative HVAC maintenance (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters, belts).
• General upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows).
• Performs manual repairs when necessary.
• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management.

Bardstown Motor Lodge is looking for a Hotel General Maintenance Technician (PT)

The Hotel Maintenance (PT) position entails maintaining the physical environment (inside/outside) for assigned buildings, executing work orders, performing landscaping duties, servicing the pool, and ensuring the building is clean and stocked with supplies.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches)


• Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Provide preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters and belts)


• Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.)


• Performs manual repairs when necessary.


• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.


• Reports any unsafe conditions to Management.


• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or GED required.


• Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred but not required.

• Must possess a valid driver's license
