Job summary

Staybridge Suites West Des Moines is seeking a proactive Hotel Maintenance Technician to keep the property running smoothly. You’ll perform routine maintenance in guest rooms and common areas, and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and appliances.

This role requires 2+ years in hotel maintenance, solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and strong problem-solving skills. You’ll collaborate with housekeeping and front desk, respond to guest requests, and help

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hotel maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical rooms.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Ensure the safety and security of the hotel by conducting regular inspections and maintaining building codes compliance.
• Work closely with housekeeping and front desk teams to address maintenance issues and keep records of work performed.
