Job summary

Merete Hotel Management seeks a Maintenance Technician at Fairfield by Marriott Burlington in Burlington, WA to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and ensure safety across guest rooms and public areas.

You will repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation, perform preventative maintenance, and respond promptly to issues to minimize downtime, with a team-focused, welcoming hotel environment and weekly pay expectations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ maintenance experience in a commercial or residential environment preferred.
• Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
• HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
• Certification in pool operation preferred.
• May need a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces, change burned out light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in guest rooms, and public areas
• Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, guest rooms and public areas
• Repair irrigation and sprinkler systems
• Maintain pool and pool area. May include a hot tub
• Keep adequate parts, materials, and supplies on the supply cart
• Inform manager on job status and project status
• Communicate parts and material needs to the manager in a timely manner
• Attend all mandatory meetings
• Report all unsafe working conditions
• Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Area Director of Maintenance, or Area Manager of Maintenance
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
