Job summary

Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across our Massachusetts hotels: Hampton Inn Marlborough, Hampton Inn Bedford, Homewood Suites Canton, Residence Inn Brockton, Homewood Suites Coventry, Courtyard Lincoln, and other RI properties. This role oversees maintenance culture and guarantees reliable operations at multiple properties.

The Maintenance Manager must be available weekends, provide emergency on-call coverage, and travel between MA/RI

Qualifications

• Must have a flexible schedule for covering staff shortages.
• Must have the ability to travel between the hotels in MA and RI.
• At least three years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• Demonstrated general mechanical skills are necessary.
• Basic repair, painting, wall covering HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, boiler operation, pool maintenance and general maintenance skills required.
• Vocational training is preferred but not required.
• Must have valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, HVAC, ice machines, alarms, sprinklers, and plumbing.
• Manage work orders boards, track status, and inform guests/departments of progress.
• Evaluate and select reliable vendors offering good value.
• Assist during renovations.
• Lead on-site Maintenance Assistant: interviewing, training, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Oversee safety and uphold Buffalo Lodging values.
• Rate of pay: $30/hr.
