Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott Philadelphia Great Valley/Malvern is seeking a hands-on Chief Maintenance Engineer to oversee all hotel engineering and maintenance operations. You will lead a small maintenance team, manage preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facilities, and ensure safety, code compliance, and guest comfort.

You will coordinate inspections, manage vendors, and supervise budgeting and purchasing while supporting capital projects and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hotel, commercial building, or facilities maintenance with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry/painting.
• OSHA 30 certification; CPO preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel and all areas.
• Run preventive maintenance for HVAC, PTACs, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and appliances.
• Respond quickly to guest and team requests, troubleshoot and repair with minimal disruption.
• Maintain pool to health code, perform chemical testing and logs.
• Ensure compliance with fire, life-safety, OSHA and local codes; coordinate inspections.
