Element Valley Forge is seeking a dependable Maintenance Engineer to support engineering and maintenance operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to requests, and ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment meet brand standards.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while communicating effectively with hotel leadership and other departments. This role emphasizes safety, documentation, and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous hotel or buildings maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Technical training or trade apprenticeship or related associate degree preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine maintenance problems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn hotel systems and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and mechanical spaces.
• Complete work orders accurately and within established timeframes.
• Inspect guest rooms for maintenance deficiencies and document/correct issues.
• Carry out general repairs (painting, drywall, carpentry, furniture) as needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and work orders.
• Communicate progress and needs to management; report emergencies or safety hazards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to minimize disruption.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and manufacturer instructions.
