Job summary

Four Seasons Baltimore is seeking a Lead Engineer to maintain HVAC systems, supervise maintenance staff, and respond to emergencies across the property. You will manage work orders, coordinate with purchasing, and ensure department operations align with hotel standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Trade school in mechanics, refrigeration, etc.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Trade license.
• Maintenance Technician Certification or BOMI SMT certification.
• Two to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
• Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of operating computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC equipment in optimal operating condition via routine maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, evaluation of performance, and planning maintenance staff activities.
• Respond to emergencies such as fires and power failures.
• Replace filters, bearings, repair motors and shafts as needed.
• Operate, maintain and repair boilers to provide heating.
• Ensure proper execution of work orders and follow up on requests; include scheduling, ordering, and initiating projects.
• Prepare requisitions for purchase and work orders; liaise with Director of Purchasing.
• In absence of DOE/ADOE, act as department leadership to ensure operations.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies, and rules across Front and Back of House.
• Maintain hotel rooms and grounds in optimal condition; perform repairs as required.
