Job summary

Mauna Kea Resort is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Journeyman 1C to perform maintenance, repair and installation across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and structural systems. The role requires leadership, safety compliance, and the ability to source parts while coordinating with vendors.

The candidate should have a 2-year college or 3 years related experience, plus a maintenance certificate or license and strong blueprint-reading skills.

Qualifications

• 2 year college or 3 years related work experience.
• Maintenance specialty certificate or license.
• Able to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, work orders, written instructions, etc.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Driver's License when operating vehicle

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing, installation and inspection of equipment for the journeyman trade.
• Repair and installation of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Repair and minor construction, painting and finishing of architectural and structural systems.
• Research and order parts and materials.
• Cross train in other trades as needed, observing all safety precautions.
• Direct and train lower graded personnel under his field or scope of work.
• Communicate with vendors to troubleshoot and order needed products and parts for scope of work within his assigned jurisdiction.
• Assist in special projects.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and keep tools clean.
