Job summary

Wallhouse Hotel in Strongsville, OH, is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Person to maintain the property and ensure Best Western brand standards. You will handle plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs, while also caring for grounds and guest services.

The role requires a high school diploma, punctual maintenance slips completion, and strong leadership. Schedule is an 8‑hour shift with on‑call duties, based on hotel needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred experience in facilities, or hotel role
• Complete all maintenance slips in a timely manner
• Carpet cleaning as needed
• Basic electrical experience is perfered
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with hotel guests, staff, and management
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to supervise others

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks, plumbing repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and general building repairs
• Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any issues or potential problems
• Respond quickly to any maintenance slips requests from guest and staff
• Keep up on the upkeep of the grounds, including picking up trash, pulling weeds, clean up around dumpster area, and any other tasks given by the manager
• Maintain inventory and supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols and brand standards
• Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests, staff, and management

We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance / grounds person to join our award winning team at the Wallhouse Hotel. As a maintenance/ gounds person you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our property, and follow all Best Western brand standards.
