Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton in Springfield, MO is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems while delivering guest‑focused service.

You will monitor systems, inspect guest rooms and public areas, document repairs, maintain safety procedures, and work with the Chief Engineer to keep the property safe and well‑maintained.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience, plus three years in plumbing, electrical, painting, or related trades.
• Vocational or technical training in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel facilities, equipment and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Monitor heating, cooling, boiler, hot water and ventilation systems and adjust controls as needed.
• Identify malfunctions and report major repairs to Chief Engineer or leadership.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance needs per policies and standards.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain the quality and condition of interiors and exteriors, including minor repairs and painting.
• Document preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
