Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton, Springfield MO, is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel facilities and systems. The role includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and building repairs to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include inspecting spaces, recording maintenance activities, and promptly addressing guest requests while upholding company service standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance experience and three years in plumbing, electrical, painting, or related trades are required.
• Vocational or technical training in building maintenance is preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or trade certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and related systems.
• Monitors heating, cooling, boiler, hot water, and ventilation systems; replaces air filters and adjusts HVAC controls as needed.
• Inspects guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment operates properly.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and completed guest room maintenance.
• Assists with programming and maintaining HVAC controls and other hotel systems.
