Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must recognize potential safety hazards and security problems and act accordingly.
• Be willing and able to comply with hotel policies including appearance, safety and security procedures.
• Proficient with basic hand and electric tools; familiar with parts and materials.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Maintains hotel pool: adjust chemicals and clean filters; log maintenance requests.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn, painting, gardening).
• Follows all safety, security, and fire procedures.
• Assists other engineering staff as needed.
• Performs related duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
