Job summary

Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of the hotel’s physical facilities and mechanical systems. This role is essential to maintain safety and comfort for guests and staff, involving preventive maintenance and timely response to service requests.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, maintenance experience, and the ability to work flexible hours. Compensation includes hotel employee discounts and growth opportunities within Hilton.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification a plus.
• Prior maintenance experience in hotels, commercial buildings, or facilities preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring standing/walking for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, or holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Complete minor repairs on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized.
• Monitor and maintain pool, fitness, and laundry equipment in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in maintaining fire safety systems and emergency procedures.
• Track and log completed maintenance tasks and report any recurring issues.
• Work collaboratively with hotel team members.
