Job summary

Sheraton Detroit Novi is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair our hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, support pool operations, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the property.

The role requires basic trade skills, ability to troubleshoot, and effective communication with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
• Commitment to safety procedures and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical systems hotel-wide (HVAC, plumbing).
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule (room care).
• Maintains pool, chemicals, and filters; logs maintenance requests.
• Maintains exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Follows safety/security procedures and reports unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Assists other engineering staff and performs related duties as assigned.
