Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of progressive hotel experience preferred.
• Trade school and/or college coursework related to the field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy lifting and physical stamina required.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Maintain regular attendance and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, boilers, electrical, plumbing and related equipment.
• Take required readings on equipment and test systems.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems and other fixtures.
• Perform plumbing repairs, paint, sheet rock and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist in supervising other engineering staff and scheduling maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes and safety standards.
