Job summary

Auberge Collection is seeking a hands-on Hotel Engineer to oversee technical operations across the property. This role troubleshoots electrical motors, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor repairs while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include responding to guest requests, handling emergencies, following safety procedures, and documenting activities in the engineering logbook, with emphasis on sustainability under Planet Auberge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a technician or engineer in a hotel or property management preferred.
• Experience with power tools and safety.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions for assembling equipment.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and devices.
• Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Address plumbing, carpentry, and minor automotive repairs as needed.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and attentively.
• Handle emergencies and safety protocols according to procedures.
• Log essential information in the engineering logbook.
• Maintain knowledge of resort fire, water, septic, and irrigation systems.
• Support sustainability initiatives under the Planet Auberge program.
