Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel operations in Austin, TX. The role focuses on shift coverage and diagnosing maintenance issues across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas.

You will work with building management systems, perform repairs in drywall, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliance areas, and deliver strong front-of-house service to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year building maintenance experience is required.
• Good customer skills are also required.
• Experience with building management systems and HVAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front/back of house areas.
• Restore vacated apartments to make‑ready status and diagnose/repair issues (drywall, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Operate major building management and mechanical systems (BMS).
• Provide strong customer service in front-of-house situations.
