Job summary

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee technical and maintenance services across the hotel, ensuring all equipment and systems stay in excellent condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle repairs, and coordinate with departments to maintain guest satisfaction.

The role involves servicing building systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general facilities upkeep, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patches.
• Inspect electrical systems, air conditioning controls, lighting, and make minor repairs or replacements as needed.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools; reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints and manuals.
• Install and repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing, and machinery as required.
