Job summary

Canopy Minneapolis (Mill District) by Hilton is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role at Sherman Associates’ Hilton franchise location. You will perform broad maintenance to support hotel facilities and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years in facilities maintenance, can work in a multi-lingual environment, and is willing to obtain a boiler license or CPO if applicable, with shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related carpentry/construction.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment.
• Boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), if applicable.
• Current and valid driver’s license; MVR checks may apply.
• Strong alignment with Sherman Associates mission and values.
• Schedule may vary due to hotel needs; safety regulations must be followed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Respond to work orders and resolve requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in preventive maintenance scheduling for building systems and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test, and adjust as needed.
• Use hand and power tools, meters, and equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of common areas and exterior grounds.
