Job summary

Grand Hyatt Washington, located in downtown Washington, D.C., is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to handle maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces and front-of-house areas.

The role may include repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends/holidays and a varied schedule (7:00am–11:30pm). Comp range is $20.00–$25.01 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Building maintenance experience in a hotel setting preferred.
• Good customer service skills are required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to access all areas of a guest room to perform maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, meeting space, and front-of-house areas.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment as needed.
• Flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays; varied schedule (7:00am - 11:30pm).
