Job summary

Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to handle preventive and corrective maintenance for hotel systems. The role requires the ability to assist guests and work the 2:30 pm - 11 pm shift, with weekend availability and clear communication with guests.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing and electrical issues, performing routine upkeep, and maintaining exterior grounds.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for hotel equipment operation and repair.
• Recognize safety hazards and security issues in the hotel.
• Able to follow hotel policies including safety procedures.
• Proficient in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems hotel-wide.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule (e.g., room care).
• Maintains exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Follows fire prevention and emergency procedures.
