Job summary

The Press Hotel in Portland, Maine, newly owned and managed by EOS Hospitality, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team of hospitality professionals. This role focuses on responding to guest maintenance requests, performing preventative tasks, and working closely with housekeeping and guest services to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will be responsible for daily maintenance tasks, safety compliance, and collaboration with leadership to uphold company standards across guest rooms,

Qualifications

• 1+ years general maintenance experience, hotel/lodging environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical operations.
• Possess an active US driver's license.
• Available and willing to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends.
• Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for property maintenance

Responsibilities

• Remain standing for up to 8 hours.
• Walk the property and grounds frequently.
• Move up and down stairs regularly.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC and related systems.
• Keep maintenance areas tidy and report unsafe conditions to leadership.
• Respond to guest calls and update work order status in a timely manner.
