Job summary

Maine Course Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily hotel operations by completing repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all systems work safely and efficiently. This role directly impacts guest experience by keeping the property in top condition.

Responsibilities include general maintenance, preventive work on HVAC/electrical/plumbing, safety inspections, and coordination with leadership to prioritize tasks.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience in hospitality preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as needed.
• Flexible schedule, including some weekends or evenings.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and support guest service needs.
• Maintain building safety by inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems.
• Assist with pool/spa operations and chemical testing (if applicable).
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of building exteriors, grounds, and hotel equipment.
• Coordinate repairs with the General Manager and department leaders; prioritize tasks.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of completed work.
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs for tools, parts, or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and local/state regulations.
