Job summary

Harmony Hospitality seeks an experienced maintenance/engineering technician at DoubleTree by Hilton Virginia Beach, near the Convention Center. You will maintain facilities, respond to requests, perform repairs, and ensure safety across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.

Requirements include 1 year of building maintenance/engineering experience or an Associate Degree in a related field, preferably with hotel experience. Full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including guest rooms, public spaces and heart-of-the-house areas.
• Respond to guest requests and team member work orders promptly to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting and masonry.
• Conduct inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Record and report completed repairs and communicate items that require further attention.
• Additional tasks as requested.

What will I be doing?

• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, Tiling, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and masonry
• Conduct inspections and perform tasks related to preventive maintenance needs
• Record and report completed repairs and communicate in writing and/or verbally items that require further attention
• Must have a minimum of 1 year building maintenance/engineering experience or an Associate Degree in a related field, prefer hotel experience
