Job summary

Residence Inn Dallas Plano/Richardson is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support hotel operations with timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and teamwork across shifts in a hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will have a technical or vocational background, 2+ years in commercial facilities or hospitality maintenance, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade or vocational degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Can-Do Attitude: positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to Follow Guidelines: understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Handle Pace and Pressure: work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Listening, Conflict Resolution: effective at listening to and resolving concerns and issues.
• Communication Skills: able to convey information clearly.
• Hospitality and Guest Service: desire to serve all guests.
• Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older.
• Schedule and Travel: willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clock-in/Out: punctuality in clocking in/out; no off-the-clock work.
• Breaks: clock in/out for breaks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests, confirm and document completion through the electronic work order platform.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for rooms and public spaces.
• Follow safety measures and health codes; report emergencies to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at start and end of shift; note and complete maintenance needs.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized during shift and before departure.
