Job summary

Residence Inn Odessa is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support housekeeping and facilities teams. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met across the property.

The role requires at least 2 years in a commercial facility or hospitality setting, a positive attitude, reliable schedule, and strong communication with guests and colleagues. Physical tasks include climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade or vocational degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Handle pace and pressure effectively.
• Strong listening and conflict-resolution skills.
• Clear communication and guest-service mindset.
• 18+ years old and flexible schedule.
• Must clock in/out on time; no off-the-clock work.
• Ability to perform varied scheduling including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and document completion in the system.
• Perform preventative maintenance per the hotel PM program.
• Follow safety rules and health codes; report emergencies.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start and end.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized and well‑stocked.
