Job summary

The General Maintenance Engineer position at Holiday Inn Gaithersburg, part of B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, supports engineering operations, maintenance, and asset protection across shifts. You will help ensure guest comfort through proactive repairs and adherence to standards.

Working under the Chief Engineer, you will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, and maintain a safe environment while delivering excellent service to guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CPO and appliance repair certification desired, or ability to obtain.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred; attention to detail and customer focus.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel property assets and assist in engineering operations.
• Support guest requests with a positive, service-oriented approach.
• Complete preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections per SOPs.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and other departments to ensure asset protection.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area following safety regulations.
