The RIT Inn & Conference Center in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the proper operation of all hotel assets. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, flexibility, and teamwork within a supportive environment.

You will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry trades, assist outdoor work, and maintain pools and safety procedures, collaborating with staff to deliver service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write or speak English; comprehend instructions.
• General knowledge or experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry trades.

Responsibilities

• Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
• Trouble-shoot equipment, systems, and facilities and make repairs (painting, wallpaper, tub/sink, outlets, wiring, carpentry, concrete, tile).
• Assist with outdoor work (lawn mowing, landscaping, pool opening/closing, snow/ice removal).
• Maintain pools, water quality, chemical levels, and equipment operation.
• Adhere to hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Perform custodial tasks within repairs scope.
• Communicate and collaborate with staff to ensure service excellence.
• Maintain tools and supplies; respond to guest requests promptly.
