The Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach Broadway at the Beach, managed by Strand Hospitality, is hiring a part-time Maintenance Assistant. Located at 1140 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, this role supports general maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction and property upkeep.

Responsibilities include completing preventative maintenance, handling lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and safety tasks, and responding to guest concerns.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service skills with guests and co-workers.
• Hotel must determine prior to job offer if the individual hired will drive for the company; if so, employee must have a reliable insured vehicle and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program on a timely basis by reviewing the PM checklist for each hotel room.
• Ensure PM repairs on lighting, electrical circuits and wiring, plumbing, HVAC, guest rooms, doors and locks, furniture, carpet, and floors.
• Practice safe work habits including proper lifting, ladders and chemical handling.
• Check the front desk log each morning for maintenance issues needing immediate attention.
• Respond to guest concerns as requested by guest services or guests themselves.
• Sweep and clean sidewalks, exterior stairs, and common areas; maintain grounds and storage rooms.
