Job summary

Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre is seeking a Station Cook to join our hotel kitchen team in downtown Indianapolis. This full-time role requires the ability to work all stations on the line and contribute to a high-quality guest dining experience.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of Line Cook experience in a hotel or resort setting, strong teamwork, and flexibility for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical readiness for a kitchen environment is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Line Cook in hotel/resort or restaurant.
• Ability to work all stations on the line.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• May be required to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Enjoys working as part of a team that provides great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Direct, train, and monitor performance of Line Cooks; maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks; review priorities.
• Communicate additions or changes to assignments as they arise throughout the shift.
• Set up work stations with required mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies; breakdown work stations and complete closing duties.
• Inform the Sous Chef of supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day’s tasks.
