Job summary

Olympia Hospitality in Gorham, NH seeks a Laundry Attendant to wash, iron, fold and distribute linens for our guest-focused operations. You will help ensure clean, properly sorted laundry across shifts and support a friendly, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
• Ability to frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain regular attendance

Responsibilities

• Attend guests, managers and staff courteously and helpfully.
• Operate washing machines and dryers.
• Load and unload washes according to standards.
• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
• Sort linen by type/color/size.
• Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
• Clean dryer filter daily and maintain equipment.
• Operate iron as directed and switch off at day end.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors and store linens off the floor.
• Fold towels and linens.
• Sort dirty linens from laundry carts.
• Keep carts clean and area tidy.
• Sort clean laundry and load carts.
• Ensure guest satisfaction
