Job summary

Olympia Hospitality in Virginia Beach is seeking a reliable Laundry Attendant to wash, iron, fold and distribute linens and towels for our hotel properties.

You will operate washing machines, sort laundry, maintain clean work areas, and support guests and team members with prompt, courteous service. Flexibility, regular attendance, and the ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible and long hours may be required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects.
• Ability to stand during the shift.
• Must multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Wash, iron, fold, and distribute soiled linens, towels, napkins and tablecloths.
• Operate washing machines and dryers and maintain clean equipment.
• Sort laundry by type and color and store properly.
• Load and unload washes according to standards.
• Keep laundry carts clean and organized, and maintain a clean work area.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through timely and courteous service.
