Job summary

Olympia Hospitality is seeking a Laundry Attendant to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, with flexibility to cover Public Space Attendant shifts. You will support a high-volume hotel operation and maintain a clean, efficient laundry area.

The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift and move heavy loads, and multitasking across laundry tasks. A HS diploma or equivalent is preferred, with experience in hospitality a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and staff.
• Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
• Load and unload washes according to standards.
• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
• Sort laundry by type, color, size, etc.
• Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
• Clean dryer filter daily and maintain equipment.
• Operate iron as trained and shut off at end of day.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors and store linens off floor.
• Fold towels and linens.
• Remove and sort dirty linens from carts.
• Keep carts clean and debris-free.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Sort clean laundry and load carts.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.
