Job summary

Valor is seeking a dedicated kitchen prep/culinary assistant to prepare dishes for hotel guests and clientele. You will handle daily prep in pantry and basic fry areas, ensuring quality and adherence to production standards while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, assembling orders accurately, rotating stock, and assisting with buffet and station setup. A culinary certificate is preferred, with high school diploma or equivalent as minimum.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items ahead of time without overestimating needs.
• Assemble multiple orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain proper temperatures and rotate perishables per SOP.
• Check pars for shift use and plan preparation and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or potential shortages.
• Keep buffet stocked and food items properly stored.
