Job summary

Spire Hospitality is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Supervisor for our Goleta hotel. You will train and supervise in the absence of the chef and sous chef, cook and present items to spec, and uphold quality standards for all menu items.

Ideal candidates possess restaurant supervision experience, a strong cooking background, and flexibility to work varying schedules in a hospitality setting. Hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising kitchen staff and maintaining standards.
• Cooking experience required and preferred in hotels or standalone restaurants.
• High school diploma or equivalent education is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the chef and sous chef.
• Cook and present food according to hotel standard recipes.
• Ensure all items meet quality standards before service.
• Control spoilage by proper storage and rotation of products.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times.
• Assist with lunch buffets and banquet preparations as needed.
• Help manage food costs by minimizing waste.
