Job summary

InnVentures LLC is seeking a Cook for the Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District in Savannah, GA. You will plan and prepare restaurant and catering meals, maintain quality and safety standards, and support cost control and inventory with the kitchen team.

The role requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends; prior food handling/prep experience; ability to read and follow recipes; and a willingness to contribute to a positive guest experience with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.
• Flexible schedule including morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Strong reading and writing skills; basic technology use.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
