Job summary

InnVentures in Savannah, GA is seeking a dedicated Cook to craft quality dining experiences for guests and catered events. You will plan, prepare, and present meals while maintaining high standards of sanitation and teamwork across hotel departments.

The role requires experience in food handling, strong communication, and physical stamina to stand and lift during shifts. Flexible scheduling and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required.
• Some locations may require prior cook experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Must be able to stand and move around for an entire shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
• Oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
