Job summary

Valor Hospitality is hiring a kitchen role focused on daily food preparation across pantry, fry stations, and other kitchen areas. You will ensure high-quality presentation, maintain sanitary standards, and support buffet operations for a guest-focused dining experience.

The position requires a high school education or equivalent, a culinary certificate or degree is preferred, and 3-6 months’ experience in a food/beverage setting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Culinary certificate or degree preferred.
• Three - Six months in a food/beverage services environment.
• Strong knowledge of operating industrial sized ovens and cooking ranges.
• Knowledge of preparing different types of cuisines, relishes, soups and salads.
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• English reading, speaking and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, use records, production and portion standards.
• Start food items prepared ahead of time, avoiding overproduction.
• Assemble orders accurately and efficiently for multiple guests.
• Rotate perishables and keep safe temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and set up line accordingly.
• Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and presentable.
• Assist in controlling food waste and costs as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
