Job summary

The Ballantyne is seeking a Cook 1 to join our Culinary team in Charlotte, NC. You will help prepare a variety of dishes and maintain high standards of quality and sanitation while supporting the kitchen's smooth operation.

As a Cook 1, you will follow recipes, assist with inventory, and participate in catering events as needed, contributing to a team-focused environment and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred.
• Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Food Handler's Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and meets our strict standards.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Assist with special events and catering as needed.
