KMG Hotels is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to support hotel facilities, ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, plumbing, and building systems. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, safety compliance, and guest-ready service.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and able to lead maintenance tasks, communicate effectively with team members, and respond to requests from staff and guests to maintain a safe, welcoming environment across the property.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality, nursing home or residential setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report on maintenance activities effectively.
• KCMO pool maintenance certification a plus!

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Paint walls and perform wallpapering and general repair tasks to maintain aesthetics and operations.
• Maintain pool chemical balance in compliance with local health regulations.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with hotel policies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests to minimize disruption.
